Has your book changed since we reviewed it? If you have published a revised edition with new edits, rewritten chapters, a new ending or fixed formatting, you can ask us to read it again and update our review.
What a re-review buys, and what it does not. The fee pays for a complete, fresh read of your revised edition and a newly written review. It does not buy a better rating or a kinder review.
Your rating can go up, stay the same or go down. We review the revised edition with exactly the same honesty as every other book on Lesbian Romance Reads, and every updated review tells readers that the author paid for the re-review.
Re-review of a revised edition
$99 one-time fee
- A full re-read of the revised edition by a person, start to finish
- A newly written review and rating that replaces our original review
- A clear note on the review that it covers the revised edition and was requested and paid for by the author
- Full refund if we decline your request before we start reading
🔒 Payments are processed securely by PayPal and received by Amicly, the business that runs Lesbian Romance Reads. We never see or store your card details. You can pay with a PayPal balance or a debit or credit card.
Who Can Request a Re-review
- Your book already has a review on Lesbian Romance Reads. If we have not reviewed it yet, submitting your book is free: see Submit your book.
- The revised edition is published. The changes must be in the version readers can buy or borrow today, because our review has to describe the book readers will actually get.
- The book has meaningfully changed. A re-review is for a revised edition, not for a second opinion on the same text.
- One re-review per edition.
How It Works
- Pay the $99 fee with PayPal. Use the button above. At checkout, enter your book title, author name and the link to our review so we can match your payment. After paying, you will see a page with the next step.
- Email us your book as a PDF or EPUB. Send it to admin@eikna.com with the subject line Re-review: [Book title] – [Author name]. Please include:
• The link to our existing review
• The name or email address you paid with on PayPal
• A short summary of what changed in the revised edition
• The date the revised edition went on sale - We confirm. Within three business days we reply to confirm we have your payment and file, and that your request qualifies. If it does not, we refund you in full.
- We read the whole book again. We aim to publish the updated review within 30 days of receiving your file, and we will tell you if it will take longer.
- Your updated review goes live. It replaces the original review and carries a note such as: “Updated review of the revised edition (November 2026), re-read at the author’s request. The author paid a re-review fee; the fee does not affect our rating or opinion.” We email you when it is published.
Re-review FAQ
Will my rating go up?
Not necessarily. We rate the revised edition as it is. The rating may go up, stay the same or go down, and the fee is the same whatever the outcome.
Can I read the updated review before it is published?
No, just as with all our reviews. If you spot a factual error after publication, such as a wrong name or date, tell us and we will correct it.
Can I request a re-review without changing the book?
No. Re-reviews are only for revised editions. If you think our original review contains a factual mistake, contact us and we will fix it free of charge.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in full, if we decline your request before we start reading: for example, if we have not reviewed the book before, the revised edition is not yet on sale, or the book no longer fits Lesbian Romance Reads. Once the re-read has started, the fee is not refundable, whatever the result.
What happens to my file?
We use it only to re-read your book. We do not share it, and we delete it once the updated review is published.
Why does a re-review cost money when a first review is free?
A first review is an editorial choice we make for our readers. A re-review is extra reading time that you ask us for. The fee pays for that time, which is why we tell readers about it on the review itself.
