My Review
Cameron knows what this book is: a light, fast, fun romance, and readers who go in with those expectations tend to enjoy it. The dare setup is a great hook, the secondary cast (Zee, the kittens and some turtles) is lively, and several readers praise the diversity of the cast. One reader who came for enemies to lovers and CrossFit versus yoga devoured it.
The problems are real, though. Several readers disliked Tuesday deliberately disrupting Sutton’s business to get her attention, and several felt the leads flipped from dislike to love almost instantly. Others found the writing messy, wanted more of Tuesday’s backstory instead of Sutton’s cats and meals, or noticed the tension vanish once they got together.
