My Review
Nolan builds this romance on trust. Both women have good reasons to keep everyone at a distance, Logan with grief and guilt and Dale with a body she has not made peace with, so the romance is slow, and readers say the payoff is worth it. The book explores redemption, forgiveness and acceptance, and a couple of readers call it their favourite of the series.
Not everyone connected. Several readers were less invested than in the earlier L.A. Metro books, found Logan hard to connect with, or felt the book did not hit them emotionally despite its heavy material. Fans of the previous couples wished for more than brief cameos, and one reader wished for more on-page intimacy.
