Real billionaires only: fake dating, sugar mamas, bodyguards and one private island.
9 books · 7 with full LRR reviews · 7 end with the couple together · 1 serial · 1 duet · billionaire status confirmed for every pick
The best lesbian billionaire romance books are The Girlfriend Arrangement by Anna Stone and Hildred Billings for fake dating, The Billionaire’s Bodyguard by Emily Hayes for danger and heat, and Governing Her Heart by Lea Ellen for a closeted politician with everything to lose. For the dark version, Capturing Tess puts a billionaire, a kidnapping and a private island in the same sapphic romance.
Every book on this page has a billionaire confirmed by the author, the series title or our own review. A prestigious job or a big house is not enough. That matters, because the kind of power the money buys changes the whole book: a PR problem, a contract, a bodyguard or a cage.

Each card shows the setup, heat level, ending and whether we have reviewed it, so you can pick the fantasy you actually want.
Billionaire Lesbian Romance at a Glance
Pick by what the money does in the story. Sometimes it buys privacy and a fantasy lifestyle. Sometimes it buys control, and that is the whole point.

The Best Lesbian Billionaire Romance Books
Six books where the billionaire label is stated outright by the author or our review, not guessed from a nice apartment.

The Girlfriend Arrangement
Anna Stone and Hildred Billings · Black Diamond #1 · 2022
Parker Black runs a luxury lingerie label and has a past that keeps ending up in the press. When a scandal threatens the business, PR specialist Julia Conner proposes a fix: a respectable fake girlfriend. It does not stay fake.
This is the easiest way into the trope: glossy, low on darkness and built on fake dating, which is the most popular pairing for billionaire romance. Readers who like it most enjoy the competent heroine managing the chaotic rich one. Our review found the middle loops on the same insecurity for a while, so expect a slower second act.

Governing Her Heart
Lea Ellen · One in a Billion #4 · 2021
Debbie Bruce is an ice queen politician running for re-election and deep in the closet. She has given up on a love life, so she hires Cheryl Matthews, a discreet high class escort saving her way to a better life. Then Debbie’s secret ends up on the front page.
Choose this one if you want public stakes: an outing, a campaign and two women from very different worlds. The author labels the age gap and the light BDSM up front. We have not reviewed it yet, so the notes here come from the book’s own description.

The Billionaire’s Bodyguard
Emily Hayes · Phoenix Ridge Billionaires #2 · Kindle Unlimited
A controlling logistics CEO is being threatened, her board overrules her, and she is assigned a former soldier as protection. The one woman who is not afraid of her is now in her house around the clock.
If you want billionaire romance with danger, start here. Readers love the dynamic and the heat. Our review flags repetitive writing and a breakup some readers called forced, so this is a fun binge rather than a polished one. It also opens a whole series of rich women, if one is not enough.

The Sugar Wife
Aurora North · Standalone · 2026
Chloe Bennett is a broke 26-year-old barista and artist buried in student loans. An older billionaire offers her a contract to play her wife. The terms are clear. The feelings are not.
The heat is the main event: this sits at the top of the publisher’s own heat scale. Our score is low because the prose repeats itself and many reviews raise questions about how it was written. If you want the sugar mama fantasy with no darkness and a guaranteed happy ending, it delivers that.

Capturing Tess
Anna Stone · Queens #1 · 2022
Tess Bennett has no family and a dead-end diner job. Then billionaire Ava Vidal has her taken to an isolated island mansion, supposedly for her own protection.
This is the dark end of billionaire romance: the money buys an island and a prison. Readers who like the author’s dominant older women enjoy it, and our review found even a sympathetic reader came away uneasy about the power gap. Skip it if you want wealth without coercion.

Claire and the Lady Billionaire
Giselle Fox · Serial in 9 parts · 2015 onward
Claire Lundy is stuck back in her Oregon coast hometown working a supermarket till. A glamorous stranger with expensive taste walks in at closing time and invites her to a beachside mansion. Then a storm hits.
Pick this if you want to follow one couple for a long time. The important buying detail is reading order: the parts are short and sold separately, so check whether you are buying a single part or a collection. We have not reviewed it yet.

What Counts as a Billionaire Romance?
A billionaire romance needs an actual billionaire: the author, the series name or the book’s description has to say so. A successful lawyer, an ice queen editor or a woman with a big house does not count on this page. That rule cuts a lot of books that show up on other lists, but it means every pick here delivers the fantasy you searched for.
The appeal is simple. Money removes every ordinary problem and leaves only the emotional ones. It can also create a power gap, and the best books know it. In The Girlfriend Arrangement the money is a PR problem. In Capturing Tess it is a private island nobody can leave. Same trope, very different book.
Billionaire is not the same as boss
A billionaire can be a client, a stranger or a celebrity. An employer can hold real power without being rich at all. If what you want is the reporting line, the risk of dating the woman who signs your paycheck, our lesbian boss employee romance guide is the better fit. For broader office stories, see sapphic workplace romance.
Luxury does not mean low angst
A rich heroine does not guarantee a gentle story. Captivity, stalkers, mafia families and outing scandals all show up above. If you want comfort, start with Tempted by the Actress or The Girlfriend Arrangement, or browse low-angst lesbian romance. If you want the dark version, our dark sapphic romance list goes further.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best lesbian billionaire romance books?
Start with The Girlfriend Arrangement by Anna Stone and Hildred Billings for fake dating, The Billionaire’s Bodyguard by Emily Hayes for danger and heat, and Governing Her Heart by Lea Ellen for a closeted politician. Capturing Tess is the dark option.
Are there sapphic billionaire romances on Kindle Unlimited?
Several of the books here are self-published series that are often enrolled, including The Billionaire’s Bodyguard. Enrollment changes without notice, so check the Kindle Unlimited badge on the Amazon page before you borrow.
Is a rich woman romance the same as a billionaire romance?
Not on this page. We only include books where the author, series or description says billionaire. Wealthy executives without that label belong in workplace or ice queen lists.
What is a sugar mama lesbian romance?
A romance where an older, wealthy woman supports a younger one, usually through an arrangement that turns real. The Sugar Wife by Aurora North is the clearest example here, with a contract marriage and very high heat.
Are billionaire lesbian romances standalone?
Some are. The Girlfriend Arrangement and Governing Her Heart can be read alone. Claire and the Lady Billionaire is a nine-part serial, and Her Mafia Bride ends on a cliffhanger.

How We Chose These Books
This selection uses our own full reviews wherever LRR has reviewed a book, plus author and publisher descriptions where a specific trope needs direct support. Every card says why the book fits this exact trope. Cards marked “LRR full review” link to a review where we went through Goodreads, StoryGraph, trade reviews and reader discussion before scoring it. Cards marked “Publisher description” or “Author description” are researched picks that we have not reviewed yet, and we say so rather than pretend otherwise. Ending notes come from our review or from an explicit promise in the book’s own description. Theme notes are not complete content warnings.
Know a book that belongs here? Tell us in the comments and include where the trope is confirmed.
